In Pakistan’s southern province, Sindh, lies the world’s only fertile desert in the world. The Thar Desert stretches till the southeastern parts of Punjab, joining the Cholistan Desert. For hundreds of year, Thar has fostered a rich civilisation, strong cultural values and interfaith harmony. It is one of the world’s largest deserts and is the only fertile desert across the globe. Around 85 percent of the desert is in India while the remaining part is in Sindh.
