Establishing the town of Juba
Major construction work was started in Juba in 1927, and two years later traders from nearby Rejaf relocated into the new town that was about to be formed.
South Sudan is located in northeastern Africa. South Sudan is bordered by Sudan to the north, Central African Republic to the west, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Kenya to the south, and Ethiopia to the east.
Juba, town, capital of South Sudan. It is a river port on the west bank of the Baḥr Al-Jabal (Mountain Nile), about 87 miles (140 km) south of Bor. Juba is a commercial centre for agricultural products produced in the surrounding area.
