Katas is basically a temple complex consisting seven ancient temples.
All these temples are built around a pond which is of the holiest places for Hindus because they believe that it had been created from the tear drops of Shiva, after the death of his wife Satti.
One tear fell here in katas and formed Katas Lake, and the other one in Ajmer formed Pushkar Lake.
A very scenic and beautiful place with a green and blue water of lake surrounded by lush green hills
