This historic clock tower was constructed in 1886 and named after Sir William L. Merewether, Commissioner of Sindh (1867 to 1877). It has a height of 102 ft. and was designed in neo-Gothic style.
Now simply referred to as “Tower”, it is located in the business hub at the junction of I.I. Chundrigar and Bunder roads, amid the melee of crowded pedestrians, buses and vehicular traffic.
