The resolution was submitted in Punjab Assembly by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) member Malik Zaheer Iqbal. The resolution stated that Sarfaraz failed to perform his responsibility and is not capable to lead the national side, therefore he should be immediately removed from captaincy.
The resolution further stated that the captaincy of national side should be handed to a responsible and skilled player, who is eligible to lead the team.
