The Council of Common Interests (CCI) is a constitutional body in the Government of Pakistan. It is appointed by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister. The CCI resolves the disputes of power sharing between the federation and provinces.
The president on the advice of the prime minister has reconstituted the Council of Common Interests (CII) with effect from August 31, 2018. According to a notification issued here, the prime minister will be the chairman of the Council. Chief ministers of four provinces including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have been included in the Council as members.
