Rehman Baba was a Sufi poet during the Mughal era.
Rehman Baba (1632–1706) was a poet, scholar, and Sufi saint from Peshawar, which is now in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He is considered one of the most popular poets of the Pashto language, along with his contemporary Khushal Khan Khattak.
Rehman Baba’s poetry is known for its messages of peace, love, humanity, and women’s rights. He also opposed violence and power, and promoted equal rights for all. His poetry is said to attract people to the teachings of Islam.
Rehman Baba’s tomb is located in a large domed shrine, or mazar, on the outskirts of Peshawar.
