Russia has carried out a Direct-Ascent Anti-Satellite (DA-ASAT) test by shooting down one of its old satellites. This is claimed to be a first-of-its kind test. According to the U.S. space command, this DA-ASAT has created huge debris in the low earth orbit. The U.S officials also sharply reacted that it endangered the International Space Station (ISS).
