According to the interim PM of Haiti Claude Joseph, the president’s home in the capital Port-au-Prince was stormed by unidentified armed men on Wednesday , 7th July. The first lady has also reportedly been injured in the assault.
Jovenel Moïse, 53, had been in power since 2017 after his predecessor Michel Martelly stepped down.
